Alnico Magnet

AlNiCo magnets are permanent magnets made from an alloy of aluminum (Al), nickel (Ni), cobalt (Co), and often iron and copper. They were among the earliest strong permanent magnets developed and are still widely used today.

Key Features:
-High magnetic strength compared to ferrite, though lower than NdFeB and SmCo
-Excellent temperature stability — can operate at temperatures up to 500–550°C
-Strong resistance to demagnetization from external magnetic fields
-Good mechanical strength and durability
-Available in isotropic and anisotropic grades, with anisotropic types offering higher performance

Coating Options:
AlNiCo magnets are naturally corrosion-resistant compared to NdFeB, so they are often used without coating. However, coatings may be applied for specific needs:

Nickel plating: Provides a bright metallic finish and extra protection
Epoxy coating: Adds mechanical strength and moisture resistance
Painted finish: Common for educational magnets (horseshoe style)
